Hey everyone! This is Andersen, an Evaluation Associate at the Tobacco Control Evaluation Center (TCEC). I am pleased to be part of the team that provides evaluation capacity across California Tobacco Control Program (CTCP) funded projects. I started at TCEC in 2017 as a student intern and then later as a graduate researcher. There, I helped maintain our mobile handheld device program and Survey Analytics accounts, develop “how-to” materials on data analysis, and test instruments. Now, I have prioritized my focus on providing more technical assistance in evaluation design and methods, developing meaningful instruments, and making evaluation seem less daunting. I received a BS in Statistics and a Master’s in Public Health from UC Davis. As part of my Master’s practicum, I researched public health strategies to better engage the international students with the Smoke and Tobacco-Free (STF) policy on campus. Outside of work, I enjoy building communities with those around me, running, disc golfing, and searching endlessly for the next best eatery in town.
