Change over time

What's New (and Different) with TCEC?

At its core, evaluation is about change. In California tobacco prevention, we use evaluation to learn what works and what doesn't, continually improving our efforts. And sometimes, yes, even your friendly evaluation associates make changes to how we do things internally.

Check out what's new and different at TCEC:

We have two new team members!

We are excited to welcome two new Evaluation Associates to our small but mighty team! Hyewon Park and Sophia Strohmeier-Breuning have brought their extensive experience in public health, research, and working with diverse communities to TCEC.

We have new emails

As part of UCD Health, the TCEC team now has new email addresses, ending with @health.ucdavis.edu. Please note that you can still contact us through our Help Desk at tcecTA@phmail.ucdavis.edu or via the Contact Us form on our website.

We can now offer help with evaluation reports

A big change we implemented this Spring was offering help with Final Evaluation Reports (FERs) and Brief Evaluation Reports (BERs) before they're due. Instead of receiving comments and scores months later, the TCEC team is offering guidance and support to help you improve your reports before submission.

Thank you to the project staff and evaluators who submitted drafts of their reports for us to review! We're fine-tuning this process to make it even more helpful to our statewide partners in the future.

Want feedback on your reports? There's still time to get help from TCEC! Check out this article for more information about signing up for the review process.

Change is constant, so be on the lookout for more changes coming from TCEC later in the year!
