Hey Competitive Grantees: Get Ready to Jump into 2022!

I still cannot believe we’re at the end of another year, yet here we are!  Thank you for all the amazing effort and progress you’ve all made despite this unusual year (and more!)  2022 is just weeks away, and with that comes another year and new opportunities to put your evaluation efforts to good use.  Here are a few ways to jump into 2022 with an evaluation focus.

Kick off the year with TCEC on a live webinar about the Policy Record Review (PRR) on January 19th at 11 AM.  Whether you’re just starting out or are in the middle of a campaign, the PRR is a powerful tool in the policy systems and environmental change process.  The PRR is required for every policy objective and should be revisited throughout the course of your scope of work.  In this webinar, we’ll cover the three components of a PRR and the appropriate timing of when to do them.

January is also progress reporting season.  Make sure every box in OTIS is filled out; do not leave any boxes empty when Jan 31st rolls around!  Here are a few of our favorite resources to help you with progress reporting:

Heads up that February is the open revision period.  This is an opportunity for Competitive Grantees to formally make adjustments to their scope of work or budget.  Try to submit requests early so that there’s plenty of time to discuss with your Program Consultant and Procurement Manager, and get the changes approved before the revision period closes.  You may have been making some informal changes along the way, but this is your chance to make sure it’s clear for you and your whole team.

The next Tobacco Evaluator Alliance (TEA) call is on Wednesday, February 23rd at 10 AM.  More details and the agenda will be released as it gets closer, but here’s the registration link to get it on your calendars.  https://ucdavis.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJwldOmoqjwiHt1pRR7D6MT7yL8KNXZJVbGs

If your organizations are collaborating with nearby LLAs on the End Commercial Tobacco Campaign, TCEC is releasing a series of trainings to assist with the required evaluation activities that are starting in the new year.  Check out the infographic below.  While they’re tailored to the LLA requirements, all are welcome to join and learn about what’s coming.  Remember that our fellow End Commercial Tobacco Campaign Training & Technical Assistance Providers are available to assist all CTCP-projects.  These partners provide guidance on endgame policy, community organizing and engagement, communication and messaging, strategic planning, and so much more.  We at TCEC are your go-to for all things evaluation, and we can’t wait to jump into this with you all.  See you in 2022!
